and relationship expert sharing her Ten Commandments for first coffee dates.
By showing how to be approachable, use verbal and non-verbal love signals and
engage in small talk, coffee daters will be able to circulate and percolate
with greater ease during this provocative evening.
CoffeeMating is a series of on-going fast, 8 minute one-to-one exchanges or
"mini-dates." Throughout the evening, men and women pair off, talk for a short,
limited time, and then "snowball" and move on to the next potential "date."
Some call it romantic musical chairs, and others call it speed-dating. After
each date, coffee daters fill in a "yes" or "no" on their date cards. If the
attraction is mutual, a match is made and they're given each other's phone
number to arrange a coffee date.
CoffeeMating offers an organized, low pressure setting that appeals to many
weary of bars and large social events. It eliminates the awkwardness of asking
for a telephone number or feeling pressure to give a number, and it provides
